Iain Ard mac an Bhaird - Woodwork - Brewer's Guild Signpost

The first year that the Kingdom of AEthelmearc Brewer's Guild got involved with the Kingdom-hosted party at Pennsic, Her-Then-Majesty Tessa thought it would be cool if we could have some sort of signpost-type-object that could serve as a menu. She had seen such used to good effect elsewhere (Lilies War, perhaps?). I tried to find someone else interested in doing it as I was already organizing the Guild's contribution of beverages, but no one stepped forward. I ended up designing and building it myself.

The whole thing breaks down into 3 main pieces for easier transport. From the arm, four columns of placques can be hung. They all have hooks and eyes so that they can be connected to each other in as long a chain as is needed.

Many of the placques have names printed on them of brewers who let me know in advance enough of Pennsic that they are bringing something for the party. All are painted on the backside with a paint-on chalkboard material so that their beverages can be listed on the placques below.

It has worked out pretty well for the Guild, and I tend to add another couple names every year.
